SEPTEMBER 2025

How can it be September already? WOW!! We only have like 3 months until 2026. Mind blown!! Right??? 
There have been a few changes within the “rules” at the center. Extra clarifications have been added. We haven’t really looked at the rules since we have been in the new building. Every teen will come home with the new outline and will need to have it signed when they come back by a parent or guardian. This way there is no room for the not knowing.  please contact us if you would like to see a copy of them.
Did you go to the fair? We did!! And we had so much fun. Julie and Beth were walking around with Perry and Portal Credits. The teens found us and we gave them special portal credits to be used at the snack bar. Maybe we need to do that for other local events…… What do you think?
I asked the teens “what is your favorite things to do at portal?”  Most of the answers were the same. Hanging out with friends. We love to hear this!! Teens have a hard time making friends and this makes us happy. Others said playing ski ball, finding Perry, the snack bar, and having fun. Yes!! We have a ski ball. Did you not know that!! Fun, right? You can be a volunteer and play right along with the kids. They can challenge you to a game. If they win, they get portal credits. If you win, you get to brag. Just kidding. It’s all for fun!! 
All these things/games would not be possible without the help of donations and things given to us. As always, we are grateful every time and every day for everything we have available. THANK YOU all so much. Our Amazon list is always available to be viewed on our website. We don’t just have goodies on there. We have all kinds of wish items. Big and small. Like the kids just requested perler beads, like the black ones. A couple boys have some projects they have been working on, before the break. The things they come up with are pretty cool.
Another question I asked was “what would you do if Portal didn’t exist?”  Some of these answers were sad. One said they would sit in a hole and cry. Another said they would die (not really, they are just being dramatic) Another said they would be board out of their minds. One said they would make one themselves. See, this center is much needed and appreciated. 
Sad news has been unfolding in the world. Please be praying for our teens and our country.  We have got to stick together and be faithful and BE KIND. This world and life is hard enough and to have things like what just happened to happen if just not right. Sad.
“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13. This verse is perfect for us right now. It reminds us that no matter what life brings our way, we can always get through it with the help of God. He will be by our side with each step we take. All you have to do is pray and ask Him. We need Him more than anything right now.
