Welcome! Have you heard of us? I sure hope so!! If not, welcome and spread the word. This newsletter is just to keep you up-to-date on the ins and outs of what is happening here at the teen center. Feel free to join us on Facebook where you find more fun activities and ways to help and support this ministry.
June 7th was the Peony Parade. Holy Minecraft that was a brick load of fun!! If you saw us, you would know!! Several of the teens walked and handed out flyers and candy. We hope you got one or some candy. Wow, that was a lot of candy and you guys!! We did have some new teens at Portal the very next week!! That is always exciting!! We are back from our short break. We were closed for a couple of weeks to reorganize some things and to get ready for some summer fun. We do have some excited things planned but I am not going to share just yet. We want to keep you guessing!!! Here at the Portal, we are always looking for ways to raise some funds. Did you know the kids don’t have to pay for anything? They can earn Portal Credits here to buy food and snacks. Man, can those teens eat!! We go through so many Ramen noodle cups in a week... wow! This is where you can help. You can go on our website and see different ways to donate. We have an Amazon wish list set up where you can see what we need and want and purchase from there. You can also send us a free will monetary donation. The kids are always excited to see the fun and exciting packages that get delivered to us!!! It’s like Christmas. Shop our Amazon Wish List Here! If you have any questions about volunteering, donating, or just coming to check us out, please reach out to us! We will be happy to answer any questions you may have!!! You can find out lots of information on our website Portal220TeenCenter.org Verse of the Month - Luke 6:31 “Do to others as you would have them do to you.” What has Portal done for you? “Portal has been an amazing experience as a volunteer. I love hearing about how these teens are getting through life. Their milestones are our milestones. I also love being a listening ear for those that need it. Not all the teens have the happy go lucky home life we all want for our kids. This place gives them a little freedom to be themselves. I love being there for them and teaching them Godly ways.” ~ from a Volunteer “Introduced me to new friends and ways to have a better relationship with Jesus. Being a part of Portal has also taught me a good amount about the Bible and related stuff during devotion time. It’s also helped me learn to talk to people better.” ~ from a TeenHAVE A BLESSED DAY!!!
